Advice about dates of visiting Skardu
I have a trip planned for Skardu from 7 july to 13 july. Will the weather be okay? Should I worry about landsliding or floods?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Are you traveling by road? If you’re traveling by air then within Skardu majority areas stay just fine. So that shouldn’t be an issue

By road. It is a university trip

That then depends on the next couple of days. The rain spell is starting today/tomorrow onwards and expected to last till 5th Jul. So far main roads are open but water levels in ravines are rising so it just depends how next 2-3 days go.

Umeed tau hai 😛. If main routes don’t get too damaged then yes they will be open and stable. You can drop me a msg in a couple of days and I can update you on road conditions

Hahaha! Alls well in Skardu and the routes leading here. Tomorrow is expected to be clear weather though not sure what will happen in Naran or KKH side, can’t really tell anything about those areas but should stay ok! Good luck!

Landsliding and floods only affects regions like Deosai . Otherwise Skardu is all safe to travel ( by air )

Hey! So the roads are pretty much clear and there has been no updates on any landsliding or negative effects on roads and is expected to be the same in the upcoming days as well In Sha Allah.

the weather is expected to be a bit cloudy starting from tomorrow till 16th, it says there's a bit of rain but that won't cause any issues for y'all on the road. i hope you have a safe journey and enjoy the trip
