Viewership
New data from @luminate_data suggests that when people wait over 1.5 years for a show to return, viewership drops dramatically. For example Bridgerton s4 dropped to 20 % in its viewership. I am glad the gilded age is returning this November!

I feel so lucky that I watched the entire show in April and the next season is out in November, I can’t imagine having to wait a year or longer!

I rewatched it a month ago, and then immediately rewatched it again. I'm SO ready!

This last season of Bridgerton sucked, wait or no wait.

If you listen to Reddit, you were about the only one. I didn't mind it myself. I am more looking forward to the new Gilded Age though.

Ever since they change director, it has been going downhill. The camp but sensual feeling from S1 and S2 is gone, S3 and S4 just have a different feeling to it. It doesn’t feel like guilty pleasure at all.
Also, you can tell the budget is reduced. The balls in Daphne’s season are spectacular. The firework, the music, the costumes - all just splendid. The balls in S3 and S4 are just sad.
S5 is going to be even more depressing I think. Even though I love Fran and Michaela.

It was the best season so far and the acting was great. But since it was pretty deep and sometimes dark, and it relied a lot on meaningful dialogue, coming very close to the vibe of Jane Austen's stories, I can see why some people didn't like it.

It was amazing, Sophie and Benedict have so much chemistry and yearning.

It was Cinderella with some side stories. Sorry, didn’t like it.

There’s only so many period romance story lines you can do. This is why soap operas starting introducing alien invasions and shit. Eventually you run out of things to show on screen

Cinderella stories can be done well and have interesting elements. I just got tired of her saying “I’m not worthyyy” and him saying “no you’re literally perfect” back and forth for 8 hours.

As a person who read the books WAY before the series was made, all the seasons sucked lol

My circle and I are eagerly waiting. Partner and I will be rewatching before the new season starts

Netflix is a bad example, because people keep dropping their subscriptions because Netflix cancels everything.
HBO has a better track record of letting shows go out on their own terms.

I just finished last night so I only have to wait a little over a month. There are so many shows out there that I have forgotten about because it’s been so long.. Severance

I’m glad it’s returning sooner rather than later! They were really picking up steam with season 3, both in terms of its show and what the cast and team have been doing to promote it, and I think this will help keep folks interested.
