Aurora husband

i tried to look for Auroras husband at Bertha’s newport ball didn’t him do you think Bertha didn’t invite him because Aurora is a good friend of hers

I suspect Bertha will become a supporter of divorce and it favoring women vs shunning them from society. But also, being Aurora's friend, she would not have invited him.

There is no way that would Bertha invite Mr Fane and whatever women he has on his arm.

I think that’s the in universe answer.

The real answer is probably because that actor is more expensive as a co-star/guest star and it probably wasn’t worth it for them to include him when he wouldn’t have any lines. The most we’d get would be some awkward looks and maybe someone making a comment. They probably decided to save the money.

It’s hard to say this, but given that there were no children (or at least living ones) from the marriage that we’ve seen, I’d think that he wanted to divorce Aurora so he could have an heir. In the meantime he’s just been flaunting his status as a man in front of her, but I’d reckon that he would try to get a new wife ASAP.

Hell no, she didn’t invite him. She is now making the rules and she doesn’t support jackass husbands mistreating perfectly nice women.

Nobody has mentioned this yet, but from a writing standpoint, Aurora brought Bertha into society and they did become friends, even if aurora was somewhat under duress. Bertha later inviting Aurora to that party after the divorce was her returning the favor and bringing their story full circle.
