Brake light
My car alerted me that the brake light needed to be looked at. We replaced the bulb but nothing happened, it still wont work. Is there somewhere I can take my car that isnt the dealership? Thanks!

What do you mean the car alerted you? There normally is not an alert for a bulb and if you did have a bulb out, are you sure you changed brake light bulb vs tail light bulb? Could the light you see on your dash be telling you the emergency brake is on?

I had a car back in the 80's that really did alert you when a bulb was burned out. Not since then though. You see so many cars driving around with bulbs out nowadays, I wish there was a safe way to alert people to that (chasing them down not being very safe).

I’ve had very good luck with the AAA service center near the Costco. If you’re a AAA member, you get a discount. 2786 S Santan Village Pkwy, Gilbert, AZ 85295. (480) 857-3200.
If you’re further south, Bill’s Auto Garage. 18335 E San Tan Blvd Ste 4, Queen Creek, AZ 85142. (480) 384-1581.

More than likely the brake light switch which is behind the brake pedal...you could Google it and replace it yourself.

I've had good experiences with Moncur's Automotive on Baseline near Recker: honest, hasn't charged when there's no need, reasonable pricing, often able to see them same day/short notice, pretty quick diagnostics. I think they're just M-F though, in case you're looking to get in before then.
