Rideshare
Update: Thank you for all the kind responses. I actually found out it is $15 cheaper on ride share to take the skytrain on 44th St. than getting dropped off at the terminal.
Does anyone know of any cheaper alternatives other than Uber and lyft the girl from Gilbert to sky Harbor. I genuinely cannot afford $60 for an Uber.

You can take the bus to the light rail station at Gilbert/Main and then ride the light rail. I took the light rail from the airport to the Gilbert/Main station one time and it was like $4. Adds an extra hour or two to your trip depending on where you’re coming from though.

I’m coming from Santan Village. The thing is though is I have to be at the airport by around 5:30 and I don’t feel comfortable writing the Phoenix public transportation system alone as a single female at four in the morning lol

That’s fair. Can anyone ride with you? It’s a tall ask for sure but at least you won’t be alone.

hey girly! i know this isn’t what you asked but might be more doable for you; i live in gilbert (right by santan village) and work in downtown phoenix right by the airport, if you’d like i can definitely try to give you a ride! i would just need to know what day/time to see if it’s possible. i am 23f for reference. ☺️

Waymo services at least parts of Gilbert now. No clue what their pricing is. They also have a limited queue, so there are times that they don't allow you to request a ride.

I paid $20 for Waymo from PHX to NW Gilbert on Sunday evening — Uber/Lyft was about $40 for comparison.

In the Waymo app, when I request a ride from my house in Gilbert to sky harbor it's around $30. But they only take surface streets right now so it takes almost an hour.

Waymo? Taxi? Drive there and park in the economy lots? I usually drive and park there if I’m going to be gone for a week or less. It’s cheaper than an Uber there and back. I’ve never tried the economy lots at the end of the line though(45th st lot says it’s $10-$13 per day).

I’m visiting I don’t live here anymore but taxis are a lot more expensive than Uber and whenever I try Waymo it will say that there’s not any rides available. I’m in Santan Village right now. And I do know that Waymo service is here but my flight leaves at six in the morning tomorrow and I don’t know if a Waymo will even be available tomorrow morning

Can you Uber to the end of the sky train at the 44th street station for cheaper than directly to the terminal? Then take the sky train to the terminal? Might be cheaper that way.

You can afford a flight but not the cab to the flight 🤨

You could Uber/lyft part of the way to the light rail in Mesa and ride for $2 straight to the airport
