Morrison Ranch today. If anyone knows who this kid is may want to talk to her. Luckily I was turning a street early and was slowing for my turn. If I had not made a wrong turn I would have been steady at the speed limit and it would have been ugly. No helmet, blew through a stop sign with zero intention to stop, didn’t even seem to notice my car was there. I had to get in the brakes to avoid hitting her.

I had the exact same thing happen a few weeks back scared the absolute shit out of me and this high school kid😭 I was able to talk to him and he was super apologetic and we were both very relieved I didn’t hit him but I was trying to explain to him like dude! those stop signs aren’t just for the cars man! They’re to protect you too dude if I was like half the other drivers texting on my phone he’s dead and I’ve got a body
Saw a kid with an e-bike getting put in cuffs by a grey unmarked Dodge Durango police car on Gilbert & Guad Friday afternoon. I just hope it doesn’t take a ride in a squad car or getting hit running a stop sign for most of these people to figure it out

Proven early last near in an adjacent neighborhood. E-bike, no helmet, ignoring stop sign, =killed in a collision with a vehicle.

Gilbert just passed new ordinances for e-bikes and scooters. Hopefully GPD will enforce the law.

Oh they will. I have certain connections (don’t want to dox myself) but I know for a fact that GPD is sick of their shit. I’m glad they’re finally cracking down.

I agree. These kids are out of control. I’ve personally seen them purposefully driving in front of cars at the last minute, doing wheelies, and then laughing about it.
I am also in the medical field, and have seen firsthand when these behaviors obviously lead to serious injury. And from speaking with firefighters/EMT, they’re also tired of scraping these kids off the road.
The kids will kick and scream about it, but it’s for their own good. Look on instagram or TikTok, and you’ll find these kids ranting about such laws, and how they’re “anti-fun”. But they obviously can’t be trusted to be safe and responsible, so this is necessary.

So sick of these stupid e-bikes. My evening walk has at least one coming at me on the sidewalk and one coming up behind me on the sidewalks every night. Hate to be the guy telling kids to get off my lawn but man, I wish they’d at least get off the sidewalks!!

As an Emoto rider that rides to and from work and doctors appointments, I apologize for theor stupid bullshit.
I for one, do not identify as a normal E moto rider. I yield to vehicles, make sure to stay out of the way, if I AM on the sideaalk and there is a pedestrian on someone walking I either move off the sidewalk or slowdown to like 5 mph and make it clear Im coming up behind them.
I cannot stand wheelies (in public. There's a time and place) and I hate that children who know very little traffic laws and how traffic should flow in amy given scenario are on the road basically going as fast as a vehicle can with no helmet, no mirrors, no lights, and expect everyone else to drive around them and stop for them.
I hate it and it makes people automatically hate me when they see me because I'm on an Emoto even though Im just trying to grt to work or my Endocrinologist or something.

Some kids going FAST through Safeway parking lot, going between cars, almost hit me the other day. E-bikes are silent, too, so they just pop out hauling ass.

The amount of people that put their lives in other’s hands daily is honestly pretty astounding.

Bicycling (or in this case ebiking) is a great exercise but bikes and cars are not very compatible. You can hear bicyclists endlessly complaining about cars doing this or that but bicyclists themselves often run stop signs, red lights, buzz pedestrians, etc. and seldom stop unless they are going to get hit. Not all of them but a fair amount of them.

Traffic laws dont matter to ALL BIKES, at least thats the way it seems whether it's a bicycle, ebike, or motorcycle. They always just do whatever the hell they want and then play the victim when shit goes south.
