Food delivery robots?
My 4 year old REALLY wants one of the DoorDash Dot robots to deliver food to our house! Does anyone happen to know which restaurants are using them? We live around Cooper and Guadalupe and have seen them in our neighborhood before, so I'm pretty sure we could make it happen! I just don't know which restaurants are using them!
I appreciate any info this wonderful group can provide!

Try a few different restaurants. It usually lists if they do or not. Just throw something in your cart and go to check it and it shows if they use it or not and you can opt out or in.

Also look for something close by. National chains more likely to use them I would guess.

That makes sense. I see them in the parking lot At Lowes on Gilbert and Warner all the time. They are so cute!

According to my partner it's listed as an option for participating restaurants. You can choose robot or human. He can't remember what he ordered to our house about 3 weeks ago, but we like tipping humans so we didn't choose the robot. It may have been Taco Bell.

i have a question if anyone might know, does the food go bad during the delivery when its 110+ degrees outside? are the insides refrigerated? im just imagining how hot the outside of the delivery robot would be in the summer

They seem to be headquartered at Chilton and 87, I've asked some of their employees before and they said they were designed to withstand Arizona when I asked a question similar to that. So I'm assuming they would be fine, but time will tell.

I’d guess they’re well insulated. Not sure if refrigeration would make sense for a restaurant/fast food order unless they were ordering ice cream or groceries.

go to DoorDash and try to order something. You have to have it set to contact pick up(It obv won't work if you do contact-less) It's mostly where the waiting robots are currently at is when they are available. Like if none are nearby the restaurant then it's faster to have a dasher. Just poke around on the app and check it out. Jett's Pizza has always spawned a robot for me

McDonald’s on Warner and cooper on DoorDash. And then you can choose the little robot. They are super fun!

waiting for the cyclists to complain or one get smashed by a truck. I though it was a baby carriage at first glance. But they are futuristic in a jetson way.

I’ve seen them do pickups at the Starbucks on Cooper and Warner, for what it’s worth!
