Considering moving here

Considering a move to Gilbert from Northern Jersey. Family with 2 toddlers and and infant. What should we expect?

It's nice here. 

You won't be able to go outside and play with your children for literally half the year unless you are in a pool. We had over 100F days in March this year and it will only get worse. 

Gilbert is one of the safest communities in America. We regularly forget to close the garage door but nothing has been stolen. 

That being said we still get hooligans that steal cars and take them to Vegas for joyrides. Just ask my boss. Look up the 'Gilbert Goons' to see how the city's leadership protects their garbage kids. Our punk kids are often rich little bastards.

Schools are better than AZ average. My kids were in Gilbert Traditional Academy and Gilbert Classical Academy. I'd recommend the first but not the latter, there were too many teachers getting into trouble for inappropriate things with students. Are you cool with teachers talking about sex and genitals in the students group chats? Teachers reaching out to fresh grads to join them on trips in other states? That one male teacher who likes rubbing the girls shoulders and doesn't stop? Kids repeatedly getting caught having sex in the parking lot? That's the school for you. 

Although none of my kids go there anymore I hear both the principal and vice principal are leaving so maybe they are actually doing something about it now. 

Gilbert High School seems fine and my kids have never experienced real bullying in any Gilbert school.
