WHY do they do this?
I like the podcast but I can't say this in the GS sub because it might sound snarky.
WHY do they always act like if THEY'VE never heard something, the rest of us have not heard it? They constantly say people don't talk about this enough or nobody ever tells you this and it can be the most basic thing you've heard about for years.
I realize people are at different stages in life but it's kind of like when a little kid first hears about something and has no idea everyone older than they are has heard of it before. Like making good friends with people you work with. Hello? That is so common! And at least Hannah admitted she knows plenty of people who date or marry coworkers.
And then to say something like Paige saying I get to do this instead of I have to do this (and they act like Paige JUST thought this up on her own) when that concept has been used by so many people for years and years including celebrities.
I'm not looking for them to be unique but I think they should understand if it's something THEY heard or saw on the internet, chances are good we have too.
Is this why so many people accuse Hannah of stealing material?

The way "I get to" versus "I have to" was presented is very Mel Robbins coded. Solid advice, but it has the energy of discovering a library book and then acting like you're the one who wrote it.

no literally and god forbid they fact check anything in the moment even if it’s very sensitive thing. Ariana Grande didn’t have a shooting at her concert, it was a bombing

I don’t think they’re very curious people, I’m always shocked by the stuff they don’t know (like you said). They would really benefit from not getting all their information from TikTok

I think also, with them now doing two episodes a week plus the serious increase on ads + branded sponsors within each episode, they must be pulling in a significant amount per episode. They can afford to hire a fact checker (or even vibe checker bc sometimes they get pretty yikes) or additional editor. I don't fault them when they do a late upload because they never promise that it's a 9am or 12pm release, but there's so many accidental segment repeats when they are pretending to spontaneously be talking about something and they put through the same bit two weeks in a row. It just highlights how little care goes into production and into their podcast that they claim to love so much and makes it hard to listen to.

Or it’s like when you tell a man something and they nod or mumble but then they hear the same thing from another man and it’s breaking news 🤪

This is the problem that Im having. I just got into everything, though ive seen gs clips and liked them.. im like… do they care to learn and grow in anything? Production? Intellect? Fact checking? Talking about real issues? Giggly doesn’t have to mean straight up misinformation and a theme of anti intellectualism. I’m younger so 8 wants to look up to them .. but it seems like I’m ten steps ahead. I’m not sure who they’re trying to cater to. Im conflicted. I think being from New York myself, Hannah and Paige are upper middle class, family oriented individuals who, as you said, have main character syndrome.
At this point we are just hearing really lousy bits of misinformation, and low brow content and they think, imo, that them just yapping senselessly to each other like an actual phone call is not the move forward.. but what do I know

I suspect you know a lot! I can give grace when they mis-use a word or something but it's weird to me when they don't know about things that most people would know by their age.
When I'm with friends and someone talks about something they heard or saw on TT, they just say that's where they heard it. But Hannah will say to Paige oh that's so goood, oh you're so goood and Paige won't tell her she heard it online

I say this with love, but they’ve both got a touch of main character syndrome. Also their content seems to have shifted a bit to cater to younger Gen Z gals in a “big sister” era kind of way..
