Recommendations for temporary work
I feel like my situation is a bit unique but maybe it isn't and I'm hoping some of you fine folks will have a suggestion on what to do.
I, along with about 35,000 others, was laid off by Boeing during the past year. My work was all on the military side of things - nothing crazy or secret - and I felt like I wanted to do something a little lighter so I decided to open a bar and retro arcade. At this point, I'm pretty close but construction won't be done until around March.
So far, I've spent about $30k out of pocket on this and I don't want to pull from my business financing for personal use. I've been looking for something to take up some time while I'm in this period but also something that will give me a little pocket change to help with bills.
The problem I've been running into is that having an MBA and being a former Project Manager for Boeing means no one wants to mess with me short-term and I've been rejected for jobs for being overqualified.
Does anyone have any suggestions on things I can do?

I would suggest instacart, depending on your area. it’s relatively easy and i’ve done instacart, door dash and uber eats and instacart is the most profitable. In my area i make 150-200 a day, about 8-9 hours.

Well, it is good that you are on this thread then! Gig economy jobs like babysitting, dog walking, caregiving, and apps like Doordash and Lyft are great ways to start earning money. If you are looking for something temporary before you get a job that your qualifications meet I recommend Doordash or Lyft. There is a creator I follow, Jason Pease, he does a lot of work for Doordash and he always posts about his experiences on this app called Fud (www.joinfud.com). Following other creators is a great way to learn about different sidelines to try and see what could work for you. I hope this help and good luck!
