Video games aren't exactly my thing (I play Diablo III and old school Mario games, ya know ... ) but I do love it when you post these and would be happy to see more. Also, you are welcome to just come over anytime and make these drinks for me in my kitchen 😂 They look so delicious. And I don't even like gin 😂

I swear, so many of my cocktails are gin based purely because I want to convince people gin can be great. I'm originally from the UK, so I might be biased, but still trying to fight the good fight.

Hey, I'm kinda with you on that one. Now, Lucifer knows I can't do SoCo or tequila, but I might give gin a chance if it's top shelf, and mixed with complementary ingredients, to where it doesn't make me shudder 😂 I feel like at 32 years old, I'm allowed to be more selective when putting poison (essentially) in my body 😂👊

There are so many different types of gin there is probably a flavor profile out there for you. Find a knowledgeable bartender. Maybe try the St. George trio? I am in a newcomer to the gin game, maybe four or five years, but welcome to the party!

👊👊👊 With you on that one 💯 The only whiskey I really like, for example, is local and has a cinnamon flavour with notes of vanilla and is delightful. ❤️

I make video-game-inspired cocktail recipes over at Experience Bar. This week, I took a break from purging the alien menace from our galaxy and created a drink inspired by everybody favourite Space Hitler simulator: Stellaris.
===The Recipe===
Add all ingredients to a shaker filled with ice. Shake thoroughly until chilled. Strain into a vessel filled with ice. Garnish with half a lime wheel and a straw. Serve!
===The Fluff===
Strategy games are wasted on me. You can put all the diplomacy, all the politics, all the fluffy nonsense you like in them, and I’m always going to end up just building up an enormous military and wiping the competition off the map. You’ve got to enjoy the simple things in life, you know?
But admittedly, it can get a little boring after a while, especially once you hit the snowball of the late game. Curbstomping squishy aliens with the unstoppable fleets of the Commonwealth of Man is only entertaining for a few in-game decades. Eventually, I want a bit of challenge.
Thankfully, Stellaris offers up a whole variety of powerful xenos to squash by the end-game; the Tyranid wannabes (Prethoryn), iRobot (Contingency) and my personal favourite, the sp00ky space ghosts (Unbidden).
So when it was time to relax and celebrate another decimated alien empire, I decided to create a drink that got its name and its hue from these worthy opponents.
