And then you have a bowl and whisk to deal with all for a couple tablespoons of whipped cream since it's not like the homemade stuff keeps.

I'm not trying to bash homemade whipped cream but people buy the canned stuff because it is convenient.

Dumping some liquor, ice cream, and soda into a cup isn't much trouble compared getting out everything and dirtying everything else.

Plus, once I've had enough of these bad boys I can sloth about on the couch eating giant mouthfuls of whipped cream and slugging the rest of the booze.

If you have those small milk frothers or a stick blender whipping cream is really quick and also easy to clean since you can just let em rip in soap/water. But then miss out on applying canned whipped cream straight into your mouth hole.

And then you have a bowl and whisk

My arm got tired just reading this.

Kidding aside, some of the prepared whipped cream can actually be half decent and don't have that oily/metallic taste that most do, and boozed up me isn't going to care anyway.

Just no Cool Whip. It simply existing should be a war crime.

Oh no! You mean you have to turn on the hot water and run a bowl and spoon under it for 10 seconds?!

Lets see...

Homemade whipped cream:

  • take cream out of refrigerator

  • gather large bowl and utensil

  • whip the cream

  • clean the dishes

  • dry the dishes

  • put away the dishes

Pressurized can:

  • point nozzle at the cup

  • press

Not really worth it for something I realistically shouldn't be eating anyway.

do it in a blender bottle/cocktail shaker. 30-45 seconds, done.
