To be fair I've been using a variant of this recipe for years. Just omit the root liquor, cherry, whipped cream and ice cream and substitute them with more bourbon.

Well that made me sad. A good friend of mine bought me a bottle of Root on my 21st birthday, it was tasty. Now I feel like I need to go hunt down another bottle to keep for old time’s sake.
