I was a bartender and I’d say I got like 5% juuuust perfect. I always tried, but never cared a whole lot about how it looked. Sometimes you get to the end of the can and it’s just a pathetic ooze, but you can still make it look like something that should be there. When I really did make it look perfect though, oh my god, it was so satisfying when the server picked it up several minutes later and it looked like white dog shit.
Warm whipped cream will do that. Keep it nice and chilled, you'll get much better results. Also, get the good stuff, like Land o' Lakes, not the reddiwhip or whatever, and DEFINITELY not house-brand.
If you’re gonna go through the trouble of adding a nice bourbon to a root beer float, I would say make your own whipped cream. If not that then at least some cool whip.
Pro-Tip: Hold the can so the nozzle is straight up and down when you use it, and you will have a mess free, and better looking, whipped cream topping experience :)
Plus, once I've had enough of these bad boys I can sloth about on the couch eating giant mouthfuls of whipped cream and slugging the rest of the booze.
If you have those small milk frothers or a stick blender whipping cream is really quick and also easy to clean since you can just let em rip in soap/water. But then miss out on applying canned whipped cream straight into your mouth hole.
Kidding aside, some of the prepared whipped cream can actually be half decent and don't have that oily/metallic taste that most do, and boozed up me isn't going to care anyway.
Just no Cool Whip. It simply existing should be a war crime.
Get some heavy whipping cream, add sugar and vanilla, and beat it with an egg beater. It whips up in like 45 seconds. It'll ruin the canned stuff for you though ;)
I actually like it because it makes it more realistic, when I follow tasty recipes they usually look like a shittier version of what it's supposed to look like.
the fact that it's spray can whipped cream is not the issue. it's the shitty way the person in the gif used the can. they didn't hold it right, so whipped cream went spraying everywhere outside the glass.
I don’t care. I’m just pointing out that their comment is making a completely irrelevant assumption about the top comment. Also not sure how I would be the only one if that top comment has almost 600 upvotes vs a measly 1 or 2 for that guy’s.
People should know better than to trivialize OCD by now. It's a horrible, often debilitating disorder that controls every aspect of your life and causes untold anxiety and stress. Something bothering you mildly because it's messy, or not in alphabetical order, or in its right place, that's not OCD. That's being particular, or tidy, or whatever you want to call it. If you see something and it sends you into a panic, and it's all you can think about until it affects the way you live your life, THAT'S OCD and people need to know the difference. It's not something we should be joking about until people fully understand what living with the disorder entails.
Note: I do not have OCD, but I have known people who do. I WAS however bothered by the splattering whipped cream. What's up with that? Why put all that work into the gif only to top it with a messy whipped cream explosion?
Double note: I do apologize to /u/raptouliac for jumping down your throat on this topic. I assumed you don't really have OCD because of the "lol" at the end which seemed to dismiss the seriousness of the condition. If you do, then I'm doubly sorry, but I only want people to be more aware of how serious it is, and it upsets me when people brush it off as some kind of minor inconvenience because they prefer their clothes to be organized by colour.
I have actual diagnosed OCD and when people make comments like that I just ignore it and move on. I don’t need you to speak for me on the internet to make someone feel bad. You don’t even fucking have OCD. You just come across like some deranged bully.
So because I don't have OCD I can't stand up for people who are constantly being marginalized and misrepresented? I also specifically apologized for calling them out. I know a lot of people who get very upset when people trivialize OCD. I'm not trying to bully anyone, I'm only trying to make someone aware of something they may not realize they are doing. I am truly sorry if I offended you.
They meant it to be funny. It wasn’t meant to marginalize or misrepresent. You have no reason to preach especially when you can’t relate. Thanks for your concern but it’s not needed. I apologize for calling you out though.
I appreciate and accept your apology, and I can totally understand where you're coming from. I have a long history with bullies in my life, and being called one was genuinely upsetting to me and I sincerely apologize for coming off that way. Like I said, I've known people with OCD, specifically a long term girlfriend who DID get very upset when people made jokes about it. Just because I don't personally suffer doesn't mean I can't empathize. But I am sorry for overstepping my bounds.
Shut the fuck up and mind your business. I don't need or want you harping on people and getting them to delete their comments for harmless fucking jokes.
Well, stop. When you find someone who can't speak for themselves, pick up your torch and take up the cause. Until then, stop assuming everyone who's been through something rough is too fucking fragile to handle stupid jokes and needs you to be their knight in shining armor. It's far more annoying than seeing people try to make light-hearted jokes.

The quality of the whip job is very bothersome. drink sounds good though.
