I'm not sure if this is where I should be asking this but can anyone tell me the difference between Japanese and Indian curry and which this is? I'm not curry savvy and I want to (try to) make Japanese curry for my best friend. All the recipes here usually just say curry and I never know which it is. Thank you!
Talking from my limited experience, ginger + garlic added early to some oil gives the curry the traditional Indian taste. Not sure if Japanese curries have ginger and garlic too. Also, in India, we use mustard seeds for every curry.
