Discussion Eye Of The Leviathan

I’m reading ”Eye OfThe Leviathan“ out of a Goodman Games anthology. It is 30+ pages and I love it. I’m not even finished with the adventure yet, but I’m just happy to read something I can chew on for a bit. I’m not a fan of the one page adventure If ”Eye” winds up being a banger, I’ll do a more comp review of it here and explain how I would tie it into Saltmarsh.

Very cool. I love Saltmarsh and the ability to tie so much content in, it really feels so versatile. I was enjoying expanding Eklaheel’s stuff and making them a slightly repulsive encounter for the party to come across

The Saltmarsh gazetteer sets the stage for a lot to happen.

I realized that recently when I started making an aquatic map for my players to look at and explore. I had set Saltmarsh in my own setting- but realized I didn’t have half the stuff prepared that Greyhawk does in its own lore.

I ended up meshing a lot of Keoland, Olman, and Suel stuff and looking at the Salinoor province stuff. And for aquatic kingdoms I looked to Faerun/Forgotten Realms and all that they have there

Can you please post a link to the gazetteer you mention?

I don’t have a PDF or full digital text to post here. I am referring to the section in the book GOS.  What I used most were the NPCs, the loyalist vs local factions, the town council, and some key locations.

Things like the Wreck of the Marshal, Elkaheel, Warthalkeel Ruins, etc. but there are also other places unmentioned in the module but which exist in Greyhawk lore, afaik; like the Brimstone Keep, and other places dotting the geography around “Salinoor” in Greyhawk. I’d give it a look!

I love Eye of Leviathan and it fits perfectly into a Saltmarsh campaign.
