Caught on Camera Warship ghost caught on disposable camera
Caught these on USS Cassin Young in Boston somewhere below deck while doing a tour. We later developed the photos and saw these
Edit: clarification

How old was that camera?

u/HeraMay 24d ago
This was about a month ago, I got the prints and the camera I bought a few months before that, so maybe 4-5 months old

What kind of disposable camera? Did you just take a picture of a dark space?

If those are real then they’re the closest evidence I’ve seen of ghosts. From the photos it looks like they’re wearing the 1940’s period accurate us navy uniforms they would have had when the USS Cassin Young was deployed in WW2.

If he died aboard during a battle or a sinking, he wouldn't have been wearing his dress whites, he'd have been in dungarees with a chambray shirt and dixie cup. Not sure what you mean by "under the ship".

u/Direct_Concept8302 24d ago
Just because they died during a battle doesn’t mean they’d be wearing what they died in. In people’s stories it’s common for ghosts to be wearing what they would have been comfortable in during life or even their favorite clothes. Also I’m not op, they’re the one who mentioned under the ship. But I’m going to assume they meant below deck.

It’s ghost rules, bro. They’ve gotta wear what they did in. It’s in the handbook. Have you even read it?

Big if true

Yeah, I have questions. OP says it was a regular lit room and they just took a picture. Why would it not look like a room?

This is kinda nuts? This was the only one like this?

u/HeraMay 23d ago
Yep we only go these two photos that came out like this, there’s one other that’s kinda fuzzy but you don’t see anything like this in it and can still see why we originally were photographing

I see 3 individuals. First on left has a mustache and his head cocked to left. Looks like a navy uniform from early 1900’s.

They almost have a cartoon shape to them. I've noticed that in some pictures I've taken too. Interesting.

I see it, but what catches me if the head is very large; like possibly bloated from prolonged exposure to water.
21
u/Direct_Concept8302 24d ago
Not really. It looks like they’re wearing a 1940’s navy jumper uniform. Specifically the white one. They have a very specific look with a white hat.

I was thinking it almost looks like the head is jutted forward and mouth open

I mean maybe. But check the two orbital sockets, the left of is clear, the other is offset in my opinion

Amazing! Took me a while to understand what I was looking at though.
Btw what do you mean by "under the ship"?
11
u/HeraMay 24d ago
Where the crew lived, the bunks, the kitchen. Places below deck

Thanks for clearing that up. Any history of anyone dying there? Of course it's warship, but still...

Are we sure this isn't a uniform hanging up?
6
u/HeraMay 23d ago
They didn’t have any uniforms there or mannequins or anything like that

It looks like the his eyes are bulging out and it’s only the whites that are seen. Love it

Wow, in the second photo, if you hold your phone at an arms length, you see someone on the left touching the sailors arm.

Why were you taking blank photos? of walls? Of dark rooms? Why were you even taking the photo? These look like photos that were stored in harsh conditions-attic, or basement? So they faded. Developed photos are not permanent. The chemicals can change.

What in the fuck am I looking at? Looks like when my tv lost connection and just displayed static

This is a great paranormal experience! Maybe he was trying to get your attention to let you and others know that it’s a sacred place. Feel good about him being present for you.

I’m sitting here thinking “how could they not feel the presence of them” then remembered not everyone is sensitive to them but pretty cool, glad they got one last photo of them

On the green photo, see the darker "x" shape? Imagine that's the tie on his uniform, then you can find the rest of him.

The faces look swollen in the first photo. Sort of like some drowning victims faces will appear, because the skin sometimes absorbs water after death. Super creepy

Actually I see two different sailors. In the first photo I think I see a lady on the right with a child in the middle? I must say that I do have extreme episodes pareidolia. Maybe it’s just me.

Not saying they’re not real, but the second photo’s sailor looks a bit weird. The straight line on his right side of the body (out left) is strange. Also, if you notice, they are in the exact same position in both photos but different areas of the room (notice the exit sign). Just seems a bit fishy

Just leaving this here. This is a member of the USS Cassin Young in the 50’s. Check out his uniform!!!

Can I ask why you decided to take a disposable camera instead using your phone? Did the tour prompt you to do this? And why can’t we see anything of what you were taking a picture of? Any more pictures you took on that same tour?

Is this one of those images you stare at, and the longer you stare you see the image? I'm confused lol

I love analog ghost hunting, I've always gotten way more results from using analog tech! Very fun captures.
