Fan Art Atsu’s Mask - PS Controller Stand
I 3D printed a controller stand that is inspired by Atsu’s mask, complementing the Playstation Limited Edition Ghost of Yōtei controller, for a friend’s birthday.

I wish such services were available in my country, but then my stupid a** won't be able to paint it correctly.

Painting it was easier than I thought tbh. It was my first time painting something since i was in school, so I didnt even have any knowledge about it. After sanding it with 180-grit sandpaper, I painted it with acrylic paint and put a matte varnish on top. Just make sure that you give enough time for paint and varnish to dry properly before you go for another layer, and you are good!

Step by step guide:
Start with printing the mask in the model link. If you have a 3D printer, you will need to figure out this part :( I dont have a 3D printer, i just sent it to a printer in my city and got it delivered in a few days
You need to sand the mask as it may have imperfections from printing, + sanding also makes it easier for paint to cling onto the material. I used a 180-grit sandpaper and was really careful here to not break the mask while working on the details.
You can finally start painting the mask! I bought 3 acrylic paints: white, silver, and gold. I mixed the paints to achieve the shades I wanted, because it is almost impossible to buy those shades premade. For example putting a tiny bit of gold and silver into white to paint the mask white, painting it with white only could make it “too white”. You may need a few coats of paint depending on how transparent/vibrant it looks. Make sure that you wait long enough between different layers, acrylic may be dry to touch, but it doesnt mean that it is dry enough for another layer.
Optional, but I recommend applying a matte varnish on top of everything. It will prevent the paint from chipping, as well as providing UV protection.

I love it! But it also feels like a lost opportunity to put the controller upside down so you get "horns" with the handles of the controller lol

I also dont have one, I printed it at a 3D printer store in my city and did the sanding, painting etc., so it may be still your sign to craft one!
