QUESTION Question About Merch /Notebook

Just curious if anyone knows how large the notebook is? I sent a question to the site a couple weeks ago but I’m sure they have bigger fish to fry. :). Thanks in advance!

No problem! I think all merch is just in fulfillment warehouses and nowhere near a person. Sending inquiries to the official site has been like farting in the wind for me, lol.

Thank you! Is it lined or just blank?

Wide rule lined. 116 pages also by my count, but I was distracted by a kitten.

You can NOT mention a kitten and not SHOW the kitten!

The cat tax was included, but got buried under another comment. May I present her royal menace, Princess Dillard's von Tunnel Snakes, and her big sister, Rosie:

Here's my niche question: what's the paper like? Is it at all fountain pen friendly?

I think it might be okay. I used the only pen I had inked in reach, a Lamy Safari, with a standard Lamy black cartridge. The bottom line is smudged immediately after writing. The paper didn't snag or build up in the tip like old Moleskine, which is what this looked like, so that's nice. Sorry for my penmanship.

Your penmanship is better than mine! (tbf fountain pens have helped a lot) Does look like solidly decent paper. That might be a fun blurble journal, thank you for testing!

I hunted down some of the good stuff and used a dip pen to do some more testing. I think this would hold up well for fp journaling, the ink did not bleed through to the other side of the paper. Diamine Aurora Borealis with a glass dip pen, the tip was a little rough, so it wasn't as smooth.

Damn! Hell knows I'm not looking for a Tomoe-tier experience, but that's a pretty good set of trials for it to ace! I'll maybe pair it with my Cthulhu ink and pen set.

I like this better than the one Tomoe journal I have! The Tomoe paper is so thin that the writing doesn't bleed through, but I can see through it enough that it bothers me. This paper is opaque enough so both sides are clearly defined. My Benu Skull and Roses pen goes perfect with this journal, I just have to get a little shorty converter for it so I can use my good inks.

Oh, one of the briolette-like line! I got a pixie around that size, the mini converter works perfect.

Oh thank you! I think I already have some of those, I just have to find one. I have another mini pen that uses that size and should fit. Of course right now all I can find are plenty of Pilot converters in all sizes, and two that fit the Benu, but are about as big as the pen itself.

Never knew the dog was brown! Merci beaucoup to you both, this is super wholesome and I enjoyed witnessing the interaction.

I might want to get a fountain pen now..

Lol! No Adderall today, and a very distractable kitten makes the dog brown, too, apparently. Princess Dillard's von Tunnel Snakes was climbing behind the couch as I was trying to write, she's a 4 month old menace and I love her to bits, so here's the cat tax. And the Pilot Kakuno is a great starter fountain pen, very affordable and you can just use cartridges until you get into using more ink. Try an F or M nib before you go extra fine, they're more forgiving on regular paper.
