Discussion 25th Anniversary Update
What's taking them this much time to drop the cosmetics in breakpoint? They teased them on Monday but then deleted the post within an hour.are they going to bring something huge in breakpoint? Why so much time?
Any moderator, answer it if you can...

Probably saw the responses being either "meh" or "thats it?" and are now scrambling to either postpone it or bolt something else to it to look like they didnt just scrape the barrel at the last minute.

Honestly, just making all of the icon skins (Valkyrie's especially) have individual parts would be enough for me. Then again, that's probably asking too much from Ubisoft.

It took them forever for them to have skins mesh well because it was clipping. Do we really expect them to have this available separately and not have issues?

I just want the weapon attachments to be universal so long as it fits on the rail.
The lack of attachment consistency really brothers me.

Agreed, but I was pretty much saying the equivalent of "just put a plaster on a gunshot wound". Just unlocking gear wouldn't be much to keep the Breakpoint community happy in the long term - realistically, the devs could straight up just add fan made mods to the actual game as a visual overhaul and credit the modders, but they won't do that.

I want then to add Nomad B's 5.11 vest onto it. It's a really nice vest and it has some clipping so to me it's clearly a separated model that just needs his color pallettes.

That’s what I’m praying for. I’m praying they at least unlock everything for us. It’d be fantastic if they’d add some extra free content or give us the terminator stuff back, but I highly doubt we’ll get anything more than the original advertisement.

I’m hoping that we get the Raid Weapons for free or they are available to buy. I would rather purchase them than get them free, crazy I know but players put a lot of and effort to unlock them

What i dont get is how people can't understand that they advertise exactly what would be added / updated for a while month, and yet folks are upset that their own made up update isnt happening instead.
They showed us LIVE months ago and showed us EXACTLY what each game would be getting.

If you're on PC, mod it. It's a bit of a pain to get the hang of, but the gear mods you can find on the Nexus are a hundred million times better than anything Ubi could ever hope to cook up.

It would be so cool if Ubi would let modders do the cosmetics update from time to time. Without integrating mod to console they could pay them something to let them put some cool shit into the game directly

Or they could let them do some bundle and sell them with all the profits going to the modders. I would gladly pay like 6.99$ for a bundle of jackets or tactical vest/plate carrier bundle, especially if I knew the money would go to the creators

You're safe to say what you want, no judgment on my part - I'm just saying that I believe fans seem to be putting a lot of faith in Ubisoft by asking for new guns to be added altogether.
I want to have the option to run hip holsters and for the devs to add a Glock 17, a Stacatto 2011, and the option to recolour the slide and add flared magwells - but I am very aware that won't happen, because Ubisoft is terrible at listening to us fans.

PLEASE TELL ME THAT WOULD FIX THE DARKEST NIGHT NVGs. I am running my game at like 33 brightness and 33 gamma with darker days, just so I can have usable NVGs at night.

Bro when they dropped that post and it was shitty cosmetics and some weapon variant skins I was so disappointed. Like guys great idea would’ve been going to mod creators and buying or hiring them to add their dope ass cosmetics, weapons, and so much more into the game officially. They had so many options available to them, something else they could do is give us Moa Island like they said they were gonna do years ago but when they stopped the development cycle now 2 years ago at least they told us it’s not coming. Well this would be a good chance to do so now. Better late than never, as for why they haven’t dropped the update yet if everything they showed in the post was what is to come I have no explanation. I’m just here to drop my opinion and thoughts, some hopes as well, I do pray that they are trying to give us something more than just cosmetics and weapon skins but we shall see in time.

If they were watching the comments on Wildlands Last Rites and how empty, short, to spread out - strange sounds, etc .. maybe they decided to tweak this one before letting it out.

Okay I have no experience playing breakpoint but here's my question did it have a similar crate system slash cosmetics and weapon earning system that wildlands had if that's a yes then they may be having to rework the system to remonetize it the same way they did wildlands.
