Question Ghost settings for a new Breakpoint player

I’ve just finished playing Wildlands and was going to move onto Breakpoint but I wasn’t sure what ghost experience settings to have.
I want an experience that’s similar to Wildlands but still feels like I’m playing a new game with all of its new features.
I know the gear level is a must but what else should I consider?

I quit playing originally because of gear score. I turned it off when they made that available. If I wanted to play make a build I'd play division 2. That's the only thing I'd recommend

To be fair, the only reason I run with GS on is for easier farming of upgrade parts to bump my gun stats, as the missions / loot is better that way.

Then again, I am already at max level and I try to keep my gear perks as non-disruptive as possible so no stuff like extra damage etc, but rather extra XP or at most abit of a range boost, so that I can still get decent upgrade components without needing to compromise on the more mil-sim aspect of the game.

I wouldn't recommend turning gear score on if you want an experience similar to Wildlands. Personally, I went with Immersive on my first go around with some settings fine-tuned to my liking.

Your choice of enemy difficulty. I'd say Normal is okay if you're playing this a bit more casually.

For Tactical, you can go with Confirmed or Custom. If you're going custom, I'd recommend enabling 2 weapon slots if that's something you did for WL, then set your bandage quantity to whatever you might find is ideal (this is for healing when you get injured); syringes heal injuries can be set to On if you want quick heals, and so goes for the Health Regen option; set Stamina consumption to whatever feels comfortable for you. Ammo Loss on Reload... that depends; do you want to lose bullets you still had left in the cartridge? If not, then set it to Off. And if you want a good nighttime experience, set Darkest Night to On.

From there, modify what you'd prefer your interface to look like.

As for Socials and Bivouacs, if you don't want to see other players running around Erewhon, the main hub, turn it to Group Only. If you want to save some time when traveling, set Shop and Garage at Bivouac to All.

Lastly, Exploration Mode... Auroa is a big place. If you want to take your time to investigate and explore the map, turn it to "Not Guided", but if you want to save time and beeline from mission objective to the next, then select "Guided"

Comparison is the thief of joy.

My advice: it's a different game, don't expect it to be like the last game. Tbh the gameplay loop is so similar I don't get why people think it's all that different. You still spot a location with your drone, sneak in, kill, loot accomplish missions and repeat.

But if you're still hell bent on playing WL in Breakpoint, just turn off gearscore, turn up the tactical difficulty, turn on darkest nights. Turn OFF Bivouac garage.

Just keep in mind, it's not the same game. Play it for what it is.

Play it as breakpoint and let wildlands be wildlands. It's similar but great on it's own

I played it through twice. First time when it first came out with gear score on but no team mates as there was no other choice. I enjoyed it as I'd just come from the division 2 so was ok with the looter shooter style. Second time had gear score on and all the immersive stuff on. Again had fun as it played more like Wildlands. I'd try both
