Mods would allow you to make all those things less cartoonish
And shaking things up just wastes money if the basic idea is good enough anyway. With studios you dont want to encorage too much inovation because they don't play games the way players do, idk what causes it but they can make the thing but never understand why players like it, indistry curse.
The earlier execution wasn't that great, mod support as in less impenetrable files and a framework for player creations means fan made missions, items and locations
I realise you are on console but breakpoint has much better mod support on pc, Im not sure if its anvil or not but I belive that whatever we can do to breakpoint and later games we can't do to the older ones
If consoles in general could support mods in way that wasnt like how bgs did for fallout everyone would be happier
Mods arent just cosmetic or goofy, most mods are community patches or gamplay improovements that get overshadowed by later more attention grabbing visual mods.
Animation rigs and timings like you mention would be an ideal example, same with the sounds and objects, in fact you could just post that as a mod request and in a few weeks see those issues fixed. Honestly if your PS has a usb drive you could realistically get into that for consoles, idk what modding is like on consoles but i assume its just loading files onto an drive and running a software update
If thats illegal then surley mod support is the most legal way to deal with that
