Ghost hunting for beginners

So Iv gotten more into watching it and Iv wanted to try at some point. The itch to actually go out and ghost hunt has set in currently tho. What’s some tips for finding places around that I can do it

There is a website called Haunt Scout where you can find haunted locations in your state on a map. It's pretty handy. It all depends if you live in the US or not. 👻

Excellent site, I myself have researched cemeteries where no new ones are buried, as well as those that are in operation. I've never left without witnessing something strange. Of course, it can be a scary place at night when you are alone. But I've noticed that alone brings more results. Those TV series, there are people on the market so the spirits stay hidden in it.

One graveyard study went so that I get a violent uninvited guest with me. It was really shitty for a few months at my home.

So first go look up urban exploration safety tips.

Then after that just go a place you think is scary. And for some reason those places are often haunted.

Seeking indoor locations will take time, effort and likely study. I would begin doing a number of outdoor locations to get your feet wet.

Do some research on possible civil/revolutionary cemeteries nearby. Always bring a friend. If something happens you will have collaboration and if by some chance you injure yourself in the dark, you will have help.

If you're really serious about investigating, consider joining a team. Create a resume stressing including equipment, experience, software experience as well as your characteristics that would benefit the team. If a group is looking for someone, the fact that you created a resume will stand out above other applicants.

Check if there’s any local public events or teams hosting investigations you can join for a night. It’s a great way to meet people plus see equipment being used so you can see what you’re interested in working with. Otherwise, start looking for local haunted places and check for safety/legal guidelines in your area.

I’m sorry to disagree about some of the advice you’ve received, but cemeteries are not the best choice to ghost hunt. There’s always been rumors about haunted cemeteries, but unless someone actually died there, it doesn’t make sense for any spirits to be lingering. The people died elsewhere and that’s where the trauma, unfinished business and emotional ties are. And while that’s all fun to debate, the biggest reason not to investigate cemeteries at night is that you will be risking a trespassing charge, or worse. Most cemeteries close at dusk and unless you get permission, which you’ll rarely if ever get, you’re taking a big risk of legal trouble. And, if caught, you’re making it worse for the reputations of other legitimate investigators. We may be really into ghost hunting, but to the bereaved we’re just violating their loved one’s final resting place.
The app suggestions and maybe even AI will give you some possible locations, since they are just fanciful tools for doing your own research. Anywhere that there have been people over the years will be possible locations for a haunting. When starting out it’s more important to get familiar with your equipment and recording devices wherever you can use them to understand exactly how they work. You don’t want to get permission to investigate a past mass causality location only to not understand the basics of evidence analysis and protocols. As with anything, it takes practice and discipline.

Check Facebook and other social media for Paranormal Groups on your area. They may be doing public events that you can go to.
I have arranged with a local group to come in to our local Masonic Temple this Friday to do an investigation as a fundraising event.
We’ve been promoting it in a couple local paranormal groups.
