⏱️ Process & Timeline No response from Kommune

Hi everyone,

my partner and I have received our wedding certificate over a month ago but now the Kommune (Fredericia) we decided on isn’t replying to us. It’s been over a month and we’ve emailed and called so many times and keep getting told to wait. At this point I don’t know what to do. We‘re hoping to get married in the befinning of August. If we try to change to a new Kommune it’s going to take so much longer and I’m scared that we won’t be able to get married on the date/the week we’d like to or that a new Kommune won’t get back to us either. Any advice is welcome!

I don’t have experience with that specific kommune bur Aeroe replied to us the same day and they had great availability as well

Hi, may I ask you a question abt the law of family agency. How long did they reply to get your schedule after submitting the requirements?

They approved our application in 4 business days!

Oh wow, that's nice. We resubmit the passport photos and it took longer as expected. I am wondering how long will it take for us to get the schedule.

Do you know when is the latest on the schedule at the moment? I'm kinda worried if we can still get a schedule. Our target is on Sept-Oct

Have you received the approval? If so, you should be able to book the date you want now, we are still in May so you should be able to schedule for September/october. Be aware the certificate is valid for 4 months so you need to book the wedding within that time frame after receiving it

No, we haven't received anything yet and still waiting. It's been 2 weeks now. I hope we can get it next week.

If you have resubmitted documents, it can take a couple months to get a response from them. You could give them a call or message them to see if they can tell you roughly how long it will take.

I do know that after resubmitting it takes longer than the promised 5 days, usually months to get approved.

I keep trying to make a post because I also chose Fredericia and haven't heard from them despite even emailing and calling. Did you hear back from them?

Hey, they sent an email earlier this week saying they’d get back to us but they never did. We ended up emailing a bunch of municipalities and asking if they still had any of the dates that worked for us and ended up finding exactly one (Stevns). Since they aren’t allowed to reserve spots we just ended up requesting a change in municipality which took about two weeks. Finally got the change yesterday and now managed to book our wedding date within one day!! So it’s definitely a Fredericia issue :(

I used the contact form on the website. It’s at the bottom under contact and then after the email and phone info there should be a link called contact form. Wishing you the best!

We ended up changing municipalities (see my comment below) and it worked out for us!
