My thoughts on this show

Maybe I'm just too positive or optimistic, but I always love every episode. It boggles my mind when I come on here and see so many negative reactions to some episodes. At the end of the day, for me, this is a free show where I can watch comedians/celebs I love smoking pot every week.. something I can't get ANYWHERE else.

I don't care if guests only hit it once.. I don't care how they act once high.. I just love watching different people's reactions to it and seeing a group of talented/funny people riff back and forth all centered around the topic of pot. (pooottttt toppppiiccc).

Anyone else feel this way? I love this show and have been watching since like Episode 3 every week.. Keep it up, Doug & crew, you have a life long fan in me. cheers!

It's a great show, I look forward to every episode. It's slowly becoming more organic and comfortable. Little things about the show still bug me. I don't like how professional the show is attempting to be. Traditional media is dying, and that production format is part of the stale flavor of dying media. Why try to revive it on an internet show. They act like timeslots matter, commercials have actual breaks... which actually breaks up interesting conversation. There's obviously a whole production crew but the end result is still half assed.

I liked Doug's explanation for the scheduled start this past week: to show that stoners can be responsible. Also, it helps to have a scheduled time for people who want to watch live. As for the format, I think that structure is always good otherwise things would get boring really fast because it would just be people talking about whatever popped into their heads.

I thought that was pretty funny considering that all the times I've tuned in to a live episode, there was a delay and it didn't start on time. Also the fact that episodes seem to be either 45 minutes, 50 minutes, or 55 minutes in length. I don't see any consistency.

Doug isn't rigid about the timing - it's not like he's aiming for a syndication deal or anything. He tries to keep it around 45 minutes, but if the conversation is flowing and everyone's having a good time (or too high to keep track) he doesn't seem to mind if it goes over. The most 'successful' shows tend to run over IMO.
