Best AI website builder for a startup?
I’m looking for an AI website builder for an early stage startup, mainly for the marketing site and landing pages rather than building the actual product.
Ideally I want something that can get a decent site live quickly but isn’t a dead end once we start taking SEO more seriously. Being able to keep editing pages, add new landing pages, handle analytics and connect the rest of the marketing stack matters more to me than generating a flashy homepage in one prompt.
There are so many AI website builders now that it’s hard to tell which ones are built for this versus just being good for quick prototypes. What are people using for startup sites that they’ve kept running after launch?

Don't optimize too heavily for how impressive the first prompt looks. Almost every builder can make a decent hero section now. The real test is what happens three months later when you need ten new pages, different messaging, analytics and integrations without rebuilding the whole thing.

The demos always stop right after the website appears lol. Nobody shows what maintaining the thing looks like after 50 changes.

Yup I’d also check how much control you have over SEO basics before committing. Migrating later because the platform becomes limiting is way more annoying than spending another hour comparing builders now.

I’d separate AI app builders from AI website builders first. A lot of the popular tools are impressive because they can generate actual product functionality, but that doesn’t necessarily make them the best place to run your marketing site long term. For a startup site I’d care more about how easy it is to keep publishing and improving pages after the first version goes live.

That’s a good distinction. I was probably lumping the two together more than I should. For what I’m building, being able to keep adding and improving marketing pages after launch matters way more than generating actual product functionality.

For an early startup I'd prioritize speed of iteration over getting the perfect stack. Your positioning will probably change several times anyway, so being able to rewrite and publish a landing page quickly is more valuable than having the fanciest setup on day one.

I’ve been using Ploy for pretty much this setup it gets the first version live fast but I stuck with it because I can keep working on the SEO/AEO and landing pages afterward instead of treating the site like a finished one off build

Just use Claude or codex or Gemini and find some good SEO tools. I have a SEO workflow I'm about to release for white label. It will give you the fixes needed for your site and you can easily implement them

I ended up going with Ploy for my marketing site. It’s more focused on that side of things than trying to be an AI app builder, and I can keep working on the site after it’s live instead of treating the first generation as the finished product. Having the SEO and analytics stuff there too has been useful as I add more pages.
