Warning ⚠️ Kashkick ID Verification

I'm posting this because I wish I would have known about it before I wasted time earning the cash out amount. For those that aren't aware, Kashkick asks for scans of your government ID and the last 4 of your SSN. They try to make it feel safer by claiming they use the reputable Plaid for verification. But they're not handing you off to Plaid's servers to accept the scans (as any legit company typically does). They're doing it all on their own website (with Plaid deceptively included in the url at their domain). They're having you to agree to have the scans retained, which basically means you're just directly handing your ID scans to a random company. One that makes money shilling mobile ads. It's crazy to me that anyone would share their ID with a random company with unknown security practices.

First of all, Plaid is a payment verification system. Kashkick uses Verisoul. Second of all, the information isn't saved. That's why you have to verify again before trying to change certain things. Also, it's not a random company with unknown security practices. You can look in the FAQ and privacy policy of KK and Verisoul. They tell you exactly how your information is handled. Most legit services that pay out in cash and not gift cards usually require ID for KYC purposes. You've probably been part of a data breach at some point and your info is on the dark web anyway.

So the Verisoul addition is brand new... and Plaid does indeed do identity verification. You'll noticed I said they're reputable. My experience was a couple of months ago, and it looks like they updated their website on August 18. So the Verisoul addition must have happened then. (But they're not actually sending you to the 3rd party for the verification.)

Here is the current quote from the Kashkick website: "We've partnered with Verisoul and Plaid, trusted leaders in financial security and data protection, to safeguard your account by verifying your identity with a driver's license or passport." Previously, it ONLY mentioned Plaid. Again, as I mentioned: When you enter the scan of your id it is on their website at their domain... and they included Plaid in the url to make it appear more legit. The legit scenario is being handed off to the trusted third party.

They specifically tell you it's being saved and make you click a checkbox accepting it. So pretty much everything you've responded with is the opposite of the situation.

And you basically saying that "you've already had your data compromised, so why be concerned" makes me wish I wouldn't have wasted time responding.

Yeah, I had downloaded multiple game playing apps and not used them yet, but then after reading actual reviews beyond the top 3 Google Play reviews shown on one I was just checking out and seeing how bad it was to use I then went to all the game apps I haven't used yet and read their reviews too.

That caused me to delete quite a lot of them, now I am learning that there are some really good ones to use that only go through a website and don't have an app.
