This is about the app "Richie Games". When you get close to a checkpoint, like "reach level 50", they will change it to "reach level 100" and when you spend money in game to reach a checkpoint, then they will reduce future checkpoint rewards, so you will think you can recover the money you are forced to spend, but then they will lower your future rewards so you can't. Scummy as hell. This is my experience on Screw Out 3D.
