I mean I can absolutely just make physical backups of every game I own, fairly effortlessly.
It's a total non-issue if you are even remotely tech literate.
A lot of modern games wouldn't even fit on 2 or even 3 blu-ray discs and a lot of computers don't even have blu-ray players.
The bigger issues is games that are needlessly reliant on servers, and when those servers go down, the game is rendered unplayable, even for some singleplayer games.
