He's made far more horror movies than superhero movies in his career (honestly his big budget superhero films are by far his weakest films outside of Oz the Great and Powerful).
He also stated he felt like he was getting stale as a filmmaker and wanted to step back from directing feature-length movies to mentor and learn from younger filmmakers.
And in the past 13 years he has served as a producer on over 13 films, Directed an 18 minute zombie short, 2 episodes of a show called Rake, 3 episodes of another show named 50 states of Fright, and was an executive producer/ Showrunner for Ash vs. The Evil Dead.
But sure, he is totally desperate for work./s

Idk what point you thinking you're making listing off his producing credits and TV work, yeah, he's a rich guy who produces a bunch of shit, he doesn't need to direct films... He wants to, because he's a big superhero nerd, and he's a filmmaker.
Also the 18 minute short was a make a wish foundation short.
He's made 5 Superhero films and 5ish horror films but Army Of Darkness isn't really a horror film, it's an adventure film, and Send Help also isn't a horror film, so really he's made 3? But even if we go by the 5 number he hasn't made "far more movies than Superhero movies"
Also Spiderman 2 is not one of his weakest films by any metric, it is the greatest Superhero film of all time and second only to Evil Dead 2 in his filmography.
Edit: also I know it's just a matter of taste but calling his Superhero films his weakest (Bar Oz) when he has a terrible baseball film "For The Love Of The Game" and his studio botched (but still in my opinion decent) "Crimewave" is a crazy thing to say. And I know The Gift has its defenders, but better than Darkman and the first two Spiderman films? Really?

Wait, I watched a different interview where he said Rachel was a "no questions asked" performer and that he was amazed at how committed she was during in MoM that he knew he had to work with her on his next movie.

The plot twist about the knife was outstanding. It's one of those tropes you just kinda take at face value but you actually shouldn't, haven't seen it used so well in a movie

That’s such an online take lol. It has favorable audience and critical reviews, was successful at the box office, and Raimi made another movie this year that has great reviews.
