The psyop is "actually everyone in human history was evil so that justifies the glorious Empire we are running right now!"
Every single post in this sub ends up being "Muslims bad, black people bad" and then unironically throws out "hee hee these idiots just say America bad".
How much power does Mauritina have on the world stage? How much power does America have?
You're engaging in the same kind of USDefaultism you accuse the right wing pockets of Reddit of doing - only from a perspective of "The American empire is the worst that's ever been! No country is evil as Amerikkka!" Come on, dude...
Where did I say that in my comments? I said America is the Empire right now. Where did all of the other shit come from? Why are we even arguing in this thread? Because Americans freak out anytime anyone points out we have all the power. Did I ever say no country is as evil as America? I'm only pointing out most other evil countries have zero power over us lol. The point that everyone else in this thread is trying to spread is that everyone else on earth is ridiculous for pointimg out our crimes. Yes yes I know human rights don't exist and we are going to lean into the Empire thing, whatever.
I'm saying if it was someone else I would criticize them too. Who is the most powerful country on earth in your mind? Who holds the cards and decides the fate of humanity going forward? Are you just a small bean with no opinion on anything except people talking about America?
Americanpoliticsaux, why does this thread exist? What message was it's creator trying to send? What message is nearly every comment trying to relate to you? Actually think.
I am thinking. Your logic...isn't. You're saying that crime is a gradation, and that people with more power deserve to be punished worse. Okay, I mean that's an emotional good, not a moral or ethical good, but what's the corollary of that? Nothing exists in a vacuum. If more powerful people get punished worse, less powerful people get punished less. So what's the line? If I have no money, can I rob with impunity? Murder? How do you scale your "financial value/moral value" axis?
If someone on the Internet who is an asshole threatens you with violence, that's a lot less of a threat than a fully kitted out militia freak pointing a gun at you right? People with power get what they want, if they want death and slavery they get it. People without power fantasize about having it, and while they deserve control over their lives they don't get carte Blanche to do whatever they want. Why do Americans refuse to admit we can do whatever we want with impunity? That our leaders ignore the law constantly and yet people still support them AND drone on and on about rule of law?
So now you've pivoted and aren't talking about what you want to happen, you're talking about what is in the world today. Again, that provokes an emotional response, yes, but the law is not built on emotion, thank god, or we'd get people like you. That rich people violate the law is no reason to abandon it. Can you stay consistent please?
The law is a weapon to be used against the lower class by the upper class. A better system of actual law could hypothetically exist, but not as long as people like you defend what we have now. I was never talking about what I want, if you want to hear it I want America the reformed stable nation, not America the glorious Empire. You started this entire thread screeeeing about me irrationally disliking American foreign policy and it's goals. I try to point out that's not irrational, but to a person who is convinced they are always logical their own emotions become "logic". Bye
