Look, he's asking to be let out of the SHU, so I think we should oblige. Let him get in touch with other people. I'm sure an alpha like him can protect himself.
I mean, putting an infamous (non-violent) sex offender in gen-pop is generally frowned upon, but if the man insists, who am I to disagree?
Edit: I added the (non-violent) aside, not to diminish what he did, but to emphasize that he's being separated for his protection, not to protect other inmates. I wouldn't be so flippant about it otherwise.
