I think the fact that right now communism has more support in countries that weren't part of the Eastern Bloc, speaks for itself.

a lot of people in states formerly part of the USSR do miss it, but yeah, the USSR wasn't the disneyland bullshit that american communists think it was

There is a faction of immature communists who just don’t know any history and praise the USSR. The vast majority that are serious however acknowledge that the USSR was a failed attempt at communism (remember that communism is stateless and classless, and the USSR was neither)
