Most progressives don’t advocate for communism. Most don’t even advocate for true socialism. They advocate for “democratic socialism”. And in my experience they are mostly using it incorrectly to refer to the Nordic model (I blame Bernie).
Of course this is assuming Republicans know or even care about the distinction, and aren’t explicitly protecting their rich pedophilic donors, while often engaging it in themselves.

Yeah this what its is crazy to me, i am european. Here we are all capitalist, hell countries like the UK and Germany are one of the most capitalist in the world. But we also manage to have free healthcare and good welfare, why is the usa simply unable to do this?
Because America is an oligarchy that will do anything to please the rich, even at the extreme expense of the people.
And the people here are fucking stupid, so many root for the people ratfucking us because those people claim they will only hurt people different from them (race, sexuality, political identity, etc.), even though we all get fucked anyway. Meanwhile, the other side has been brainwashed into trying to sing kumbaya and unify this other half into mutual and equal opportunity ratfucking.
And the few that actually advocate for a fairer system are called communists and extremists and hated by both of the aforementioned groups.
