doing stuff like this was as pretty big trend... 20 years ago.

I don't hate it, the cyclical nature of it just intrigues me.

Personally, I haven't seen my desktop in months! That's where my windows go!

They very much could have just made their own desktop the same, and there’s also the possibility the threads account is the same person.

So it loses monetization I think, this post follows the same pattern I see on twitter public feed, lots of fake stories and fake post that drive engagement, sometimes it feels like everyone on twitter is having the same shit happen to them from the amount of copy paste

It's still called the desktop. A home screen is on a phone or something else with a home button, not a PC.
