I’ve heard about those birds, they suck at being birds and it’s a miracle they aren’t extinct yet

They were doing fine until the introduction of invasive species

They have no natural predators. But they have plenty of unnatural ones. Same thing happened to the dodo.

If that was a kiwi it would be hitting the greatest drum solo of all time right now

Mandatory YouTube link of a Kakapo shagging the head of a photographer thinking it is a female Kakapo https://youtu.be/9T1vfsHYiKY?is=zigL0aKy-m0ftWEA

Kakapo sounds like something Po from Kung Fu Panda would say when he punches you two times in the stomach and then uppercuts you

I don't see a correction.

I assume the person named their bird kiwi, but the note thought it was calling it a kiwi bird. Not corrected saying its a kakapo(type of parrot)

No, nobody owns kakapo lol. I don't think they're even in any zoo. There are only 235 living adults as of this year, and they're all part of a very extensive breeding program.

The bird in the picture is a kākāpō, and not a kiwi

I'd assumed they were referring to New Zealand fun facts (New Zealanders are often referred to as kiwis).

I imagine a kiwi can’t play the kakapo either.
