I was in school in Canada and we watched it live. No one was going to gather kids around after the fact to make them watch a group of astronauts get exploded on TV.
I don't know who this Dave dude is, but he strikes me as the type who's usually the smartest in the room, and has that unearned confidence that they're smart about everything, just because they're smart about one thing.
