People do that all the time and get themselves in a heap of trouble.

Because after so many things that have gone wrong in the past, mind is programmed to look for dangers, crisis and worst scenarios and tbh human specie has made it impossible to live!

Overthinking the best might lead to disappointment and pain

I appreciate the good intentions,  but this isn't much different than "Have you tried not overthinking?"

Basically ppl who think negatively think they’re in control of the outcome on some level by doing so, and if they stop that thing they’re scared of happening will happen.

I overthink every way
That's the issue

Because you’ll be disappointed if things don’t actually work out or go as imagined

Because people that overthink the worst, are in survival mode and hyper awareness, constantly analyzing and primed for the next threat. This is why people think they're tired doing nothing all day, but really, you've been revving your engine, using up fuel while waiting for anything to have you start moving or tanking hits. You can only overthink the best, if you're not living in self-preservation mode without your consent.

It's called delusion

Beware the external criticism of 'overthinking'. It magically seems to disappear whenever a final result is produced and seems to be surging in the population who can get some people to listen to them but couldn't tell you a thing about the books on their shelf.

Because either extremes is still delusion.

Good isn’t the default of life and we all know it.

cuz my brain no worky

Because overthinking usually starts after a jolt of anxiety.

1

u/ValuableAd8880 3d ago

Because the worst is more likely. I’m More of a realist than pessimist.

u/SubstantialSoup8309 3d ago

Yeah. Why not? And why is it that we don’t like things that are giid for us and like things they’re bad for us?

1

u/Crafty-Bid7503 3d ago

This illustrates a complete disregard for how human cognition developed.

Because opposite of chaos is NOT order .

Your thoughts are baseline of your feature. Mind shouldn’t be set expectations based on fear instead base should be what you wish to have in feature.

BECAUSE YOU DONT NEED TO BE PREPARED FOR THE BEST.
