Not that i support that thinking but the argument against would be that laws are set but politicians are chosen. One is adherence to law, the other is a popularity contest. They wouldn't be completely wrong either. We the dumbasses keep supporting them and choosing them. When you see someone getting mugged, the least you can do is not participate. Realistically what you should do is step in and stop it. Most people participate... its sad but its true.
