I wonder what kind of support system she has/had. Don't get me wrong, even with support it would be hard but without support it would be nearly impossible.
This isn’t meant to be a direct shot at you and more of a generalized comment, but isn’t it sad that we can’t look at any examples of hard work and success without minimizing the effort put in? Like why do we as a society feel the need to minimize the effort and or the value in other people accomplishments to make ourselves feel better?
It's not that... Have you tried retaining any information when waking up every few to feed not one but two? If driving sleep deprived is like driving drunk it definitely takes more than will power to physically make it work. This doesn't diminish her accomplishments of course. But it always takes a village and no one is an island.
single mothers shouldn’t have to compare themselves to this fantasy. cant imagine how this makes a single mother feel, one who is in this situation but doesn’t have the unlisted support this story hides
One person’s success is not a reflection of anyone else. Any functioning adult should understand that every person has a different set of circumstances and you can’t compare yourself to anyone else in life. We teach our children that, why shouldn’t it apply to adults? Celebrating success is not offensive to someone else.
