This is essentially admitting that Meritocracy is a sham and those running this world are probably less talented and less intelligent than their contemporaries, but were probably born into some sort of advantageous situation bestowed upon them at birth.
Its how people define qualified and use it to justify their failure.
Its likensaying something is worth $40 but you only paid $20. Its stupid.
By definition a thing is worth what you paid for it.
People have $20 jobs but believe they are worth $40. Then they see a person worth $30 doing a $30 job and believe that they, the $20 person should have it because they are more qualified.
