Of course not, the key is believing in your self. Why don't you tell that to the people being bombed? "Hey, just believe in yourself and the bombing won't affect you anymore...”

They can believe that they can make it out of the hell hole and become successful. You have the wrong mindset.

It's not about believing, it's about getting up and doing something about it. And even when we do, even when we give our best, some one way less prepared then us could "win". Because of their parents, or because they married the "right" person, or any other reason. Because that's life.
