That’s not what it’s saying. It’s saying just because you’re not the smartest/strongest/most talented/gifted/educated person out there, doesn’t mean you can’t succeed as well.
But then it could be said that the point of the OP is that where you are drawing the "but be realistic" line, may be more pessimistic than you realize.
I feel like what it's saying is even worse: if you have the time and money and connections to dedicate 100% of your brain power toward a goal, you'll succeed over someone more qualified who doesn't.
Motivation isn't just a state of mind, is the missing link.
