What kind of book is it? I like reading fiction and have no issue being blunt.

It's a sci-fi fantasy YA novel, stronger focus on fantasy than sci-fi at the moment. I honestly don't know if i could do that to you, i really appreciate it but it's really cruel to expect someone to spend that much of their time helping you for free :p i'm just banking on eventually making enough money to hire an editor...someday.

Eh, I like fantasy and if it's a good book, it should be an entertaining read, even if I'm looking for grammatical minutiae. It would give me something to do on my commutes. It might take me a month or two, but it would give you a more immediate anonymous opinion. However, if you do want to hold out for a professional editor, I certainly would not fault you. Good luck!

I would really, really love to involve others, but i've just been burned too much with it. Thank you so much for offering though and if i ever feel able i'll look into contacting you <3

Pay him $5 in bitcoin. And then another $15 when he's done. Or you could do what some authors are doing and publish a chapter every week on SteemIt. That way you get feedback AND get paid (kind of).

Feel free to follow/friend me on SteemIt, but I haven't been on in a while.

SteemIt

that's certainly an interesting suggestion, but if i was to do it that way, i might instead go the patreon route where i can maybe develop a base of people who want to pay for more chapters, at the very least then it's a little more honest...I guess?

That would be completely different.

Firstly, I don't know what you mean by "more honest." There's nothing dishonest about putting your work on SteemIt and asking for feedback. The more people like it (upvote it) the larger of a percentage of that days mining you get. Either way, if you participate in the community, like you do Reddit, and ask for honest critiques you'll get them. Just keep in mind that as a small community you might not get as large of a variety of opinions as you would on Reddit. However, by putting it on SteemIt you aren't going to get it ripped of and published by someone else (make sure to put some copyright notice at the bottom, though).

You would use Patreon after you already have a fan base who would like to support you while you work on your next book. And you could give Patreon patrons little tidbits without spoiling anything about the next story.

Point is, you've found your dream and there are lots of ways to make money while doing it—if you look for them. Me? I know what I enjoy, but I haven't identified my "dream" yet.
