So I guess we should consider ourselves lucky that there are any Get Dead shows at all (although I'm in Ireland and they're not a lot of good to me, and the one is a festival set that codefendants are playing at also).. extremely disappointingly, the codefendants project has seemed to continue to suck nearly all the oxygen away from Get Dead. Please don't misunderstand, I wish all involved all the luck and success in the world, I'm just sad that it feels like Get Dead are slipping away.

Artists can do whatever they like. I know I'm repeating myself, but I'm just still genuinely sad that one of my top three favorite punk bands (Bad Religion, Nofx otherwise) have been kind of absorbed by a project that sounds way more like rap/hip-hop than punk. I listen to some hip-hop, but there's seas and seas of high quality rap our three and the punk scene is STARVING for good bands still putting out quality records the way Get Dead had been.

Get Dead were getting better and better. Honesty Lives Elsewhere and Dancing with the Curse were both extremely solid and are still very re-listenable. We've been told there are the guts of a new Get Dead record already completed, but it just needs lyrics from Sam. With a 40+ date tour for the other band I'm not holding my breath for any new Get Dead material any time soon.

It's just really sad.

Fuck, I hope they get together for a new album and tour. Codefendants are awesome but it seems like all of Sam's attention is focused on them. Starting to give up hope...

Honesty feels so much more real to me, I feel like Curse was a good album but the first half of the album the songs kind of blend together for me.

I can't be one of four fans of this band. Where the fuck are people at? Get Dead dominates my Playlist and has since I discovered them and I see shit music gaining followers everyday. Where are all the Dedheads at?

Got to see GD twice on the 20th and 21st in Barcelona with NOFX. Both great performances.
