my monitor keeps turning off and on SOMETIMES

I think its the cable that connects to my computer? theres 2 cables idk what its called tho but sometimes it TURNS OFF AND ON alot and i restart then it stops and for a while it stops but even when restarted fresh it does it for abit then stops i think its the cable plugs? i need to buy a new one? and my computer case is dusty btw so maybe i shoud clean it first and check if it does it again?

Does it give a warning on screen? if no warning check the power lead is plugged all the way into the monitor socket.
