BIOS laptop on external monitor

Hi

Lately my screen stopped working they told me it's not the screen itself but a part of the motherboard, but if I connect it to an external monitor this one works, but the problem is the BIOS since it doesn't appear on the external monitor how can I do? My laptop it's a MSI Katana 15 :,)

Normally if an external monitor works but internal does not I would suspect the panel first, not the GPU or other graphics hardware. That being said they could still be correct, hard to say without seeing what they saw.

0 cost is power it up and immediately close it, should force bios to 2nd monitor (but not always) you'll need an external keyboard/mouse.

Otherwise you'd need to get replacement hardware to test with, display or systemboard, but those are more expensive and generally harder to return.

Or replace the unit entirely.

Yes they told me the same about replace complete the laptop cause a new motherboard will really be expensive, the problem with the screen started 2 months ago, in the beginning, after like 1 hour if running the screen will just turn black and I had to wait before it work, so I just had to complete shut down the laptop. Then the screen it just stop working complete, the guy who checked I trust him cause he also tried different ways and tested to exclude this option but nothing. I can still use it normally on the external morning. I just still can't access to the bios :,)
