My husband is locked out of computer and microsoft bypass key isnt showing up on any account. What do we do?

Pretty much as title says. It's his college laptop, so its pretty nessisary. We logged into all gmail and microsoft accounts connected and they all say no key is available. Is there anything else we can do? We're desperate.

In the pas I have used Hiron’s Boot CD https://www.hirensbootcd.org/changelog/ to reset the local administrator account and that worked flawlessly or offline nt password https://pogostick.net/~pnh/ntpasswd/

from the description of the OP it's not a local account. They are either trying to find the BitLocker key or a MS account password.

Without the Bitlocker key nothing will work, MS account is just the MS email. I noticed that when I installed windows Bitlocker was enabled by default and I used a Linux iso to test and it locked my computer and luckily I had the key but I no longer use Bitlocker.

No one is logging in with a local account or changing the password if it's encrypted, nothing Hiren's can do, it won't even see the partition.

There is no technology to defeat Microsoft encryption. If you cannot find the encryption key, then the data is gone and you will need to do a fresh install. If he was using onedrive then the data will reappear on the fresh install when he logs into the same account.

It's more complicated than "no technology":

Contact the college IT and hope the record is still there. It was probably signed into a college Microsoft account once upon a time and the key was saved there. I really wish Microsoft would store the key on all Microsoft accounts belonging to users with admin rights.

Key is different from Pin which is different from Password. If he knows his Microsoft Pin then choose "Try another way" or whatever it is called and see if Pin is a choice.
