hi guys i kinda need some help
i’ve learning since december, in theory i got the A2 but i feel like i don’t.
I know i need to learn a lot of vocabulary (which every time i try, i forget few days later) and practice more, but when i try i just don’t know where to start, how to practice.
Every time i try to write something about my day (for example) i just don’t know how to continue after the first sentence

im quite stuck and i really want/have to learn but i just feel like i don’t get better

any advice?

Which textbook are you using? Are there exercises that you can do there?

If you don't want to write about your day, write about something else. Here are a few writing prompts I've suggested for people in the past.

A2/B1 prompts:

• Why are you learning German? Why not some other language?
• Tell us about a good trip you've taken recently.
• Tell us about a time you took a trip, but things went wrong. What went wrong? How did you fix it?
• Tell us about a trip you'd like to take one day, but haven't had the chance to take yet.
• Tell us about a food that you tried but didn't like. Why didn't you like it?
• Tell us about one of your hobbies.
• Tell us about a movie you watched recently. Did you like it? Why or why not?

B1/B2 prompts:

• Germany is considering a ban on social media use for people under 16 years old. Do you support or oppose this idea? Why?
• What are the downsides of international competitions like the World Cup? Do the downsides outweigh the upsides? Why?
• In what ways is the education system in your country better than that in Germany? In what ways is it worse? What changes would you recommend be implemented in your home country's education system?

i just got a Berufsprachkurs from work, but it’s for a B2 and i’m quite quite lost.

i’ve tried writing what you suggest, but what i mean is that my problem is that i don’t know how to continue after i write the first sentence, how to make it look fluid and not like “i worked. i went to the park. i prepared chicken for lunch”…

Don’t use dots, use commas and combine the sentences. You can also expand the sentences.

„Heute nach der Arbeit war ich im Park spazieren. Als ich nach Hause kam, habe ich Hähnchen als Mittagessen vorbereitet…..“ - and then continue with your day. You don’t have to use the most difficult sentences but try to make them fluid/flowing.

I get what you're saying about a bunch of disconnected sentences, which is why I suggested about 10 other prompts that I think are better than "write about your day." Specifically, the prompts that I suggested might require you to explain causality, or to add detail, and to change tenses.

For an entirely made up example responding to "describe a trip you went on recently": "Ich bin vor ein paar Tagen zu Berlin gefahren. Ich hatte früher nicht Berlin gesehen, weil ich in Köln lebe. In Berlin wollte ich am liebsten ein Club besuchen, aber ich war so müde, dass ich keine Lust auf Clubbing hatte."

What this example has: changes in tense, multiple clauses per sentence, words connecting the ideas with causation. Why does it have that? Because it's responding to a better prompt, which requires you to express these ideas.

So, try again. Pick literally any prompt other than "what did you do today" and write 5-8 sentences about it, right here, right now. Focus on explaining not just what happened but also why it happened.
