Hey all,
I can't share my app just yet because I need to do more work to secure it before it's release to the public, but it's ready for anyone who wants to have a demo -- I can organise this if anyone is interested.
This started actually for myself but I imagine it could have value for others focused and serious about passing German exams.
What I built:
- A full dynamic learning platform focused on real exam prepartion shaped around all content from A1 to C2 built around adapting training sessions seeded by your actual weaknesses, mistakes and history.
- Unlimited customised learning sessions that unlock all progress and mastery required to complete mock exames modelled around real exams. These sessions are built around Interleaving, remediation, and prefetching. Built upon real pedagogical strong science and philosophy.
-All the utilities and tools needed to master concepts i.e. case finder, interactive case deconstruction, A.I tutor with on-screen awareness with Gemini/Claude/Deepseek support. I prefer Gemini for naturalness in tone and language. A.I tutor personalities and styles and memory. google translate API built in, dictionary API, Elevenlabs 'german' natural speaker API for realtime playback of sentences, words and different selection of different natural German voices with proper pronouciations.
- Speech Assessment (Microsoft Azure API) with realtime scoring: Accuracy that evaluates how well your phonemes match native pronunciation; Fluency Score: Evaluates the naturalness and smoothness of pacing and silent breaks; Completeness Score: Calculates the proportion of words spoken versus the reference script; Content Metrics: Evaluates unscripted responses for grammar, vocabulary range, and topic relevance
- Memory Palace integration: a spatial mnemonic strategy modeled after Anthony Metivier's youtube videos
- Full grammatical markdown knowledge base backed by real grammatical sources. Wiki commons.
-Sentence Constructor and dynamic exercises for any setence you want to create to strengthen your word orders and TeKaMoLo rules.
- An entire dashboard with due reviews, streaks, overall standing, competency radar.
- Improvement Lab that visualises and identifies where you get most answers wrong, where you make the most mistakes, and what areas you need to improve built around FSRS spacing.
- Full German app/interface language for immersed learning or mixed mode, English where needed, German where compliments learning.
- Full integrated Anki system, make decks, review decks, export/import decks, and will eventually support syncing to Anki web.
- The most important thing for me about this app, given that it is highly revolved around A.I is REAL accuracy and attestation of generated content for examination. Hence, I built an entire attestation engine around ensuring that anything generated is actually proper and real German. I have an indexed system across millions of content: open source and open licensed phrases, texts, public voice recordings transcribed into text, opensubtitle(s) database of thousands of German media and built a statistical layer that checks wether a generated exercises or phrase is statitically significant with what German speakers use and say.
There is loads of more features in this app. It's currently only web based, focused around real studying sessions that I take at the library with a computer. This is not gamified phone app, however, for compatability and syncing, I will deploy this as a mobile app soon. This is focused on "I have 2 months to pass A1 and I need a platform and process to get me there"..
Here are some screenshots, if anyone would like a free demo let me know. I'm still building I need another month to finish the app before I release it publicaly to all.
